Bio

Welcome to my Website! I am a Research Assistant Professor at the Hobby School of Public Affairs, University of Houston. I hold a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Political Science from Rice University, and a B.A. in Political Science from Universidad de Buenos Aires, in Argentina

My first research stream focuses on political careers and representation, examining how institutional and resource disparities affect candidates' persistence and success, with particular attention to gender and racial inequalities. My second research stream explores electoral systems, including the role of primaries, runoff elections, and campaign financing in shaping electoral outcomes. My work on these topics has been published in political science journals, such as Political Research Quarterly, Party Politics, Electoral Studies, Politics & Gender, and Latin America Research Review, among others.
